Not everything on internet is true, that's true! Especially regarding human health: there's so much info written by people with no medical or biological education and experience. That leads to misinformation and often wrong decisions. We like to ask other people on social media, forums and etc., and sometimes untruth would become truth, just because someone didn't check the original source of information.
This is a real problem and has very simple solution:
"for medical questions ask your doctor, not "doctor" google!
Well, we all heard that many many times, but sometimes we just want to find something extra, some more info that our doctor didn't have time to tell us about. In that case, check here: MedlinePlus: Trusted Health Information for You .
It is supported by the National Institutes of Health. The largest bio-medical institute in the world so that's reliable enough.
Good source for reliable medical info are the government health care websites as well, because are written by doctors and scientists.
